Hi, I am Sharan, the founder of Mango Tribe.

Before starting this journey, I spent 11 years as a consultant at EY. It was a career I was proud of — fast-paced, purposeful, and built on asking hard questions and finding clear answers. I thought I was good at explaining things.

Then my son came along. And he started asking the questions that mattered most.

Why do we light diyas? What does this festival mean? Why do we do this every year? Simple questions, asked with the kind of honesty only a child can manage. Some answers came to me easily. But many made me stop. I realised I didn't always have the words — thoughtful, simple, meaningful words — to explain the depth of what we were doing and why.

Those questions stayed with me and slowly became the seed for Mango Tribe.

Leaving a corporate career is never a small decision. I won't pretend it was easy. But some things are more important than easy. So here I am, building Mango Tribe, not just as a brand, but as an answer. A thoughtful, story-led, India-inspired collection of toys and games designed to help children feel connected to their culture, their heritage, and the generations that came before them.
